Have you ever wanted to hear Melkor's side of the story, or that of Mairon (aka Sauron), or the Witch-King's?

It's called the Morlindale. {PDF format}

Nice! I like how he is wearing so much gold. If I'm remembering right, 'Morgoth's Ring' in the HoME series mentions that gold is sort of considered Melkor's element (e.g., love of gold seems to corrupt Tolkien characters, but we don't see this happening with other metals like silver).

(And I agree with the opinion you expressed in the above discussion completely, I cannot refer to Melkor as Morgoth. Yuck.)

When I saw this picture my first thought was this "OMG this is really Melkor, but at the first times...." You really caught the character. He had to be beautiful but he lost his beauty later. Thank you :)

”Fair is foul, and foul is fair” I think this is Melkor.

Beautiful! Even if it is Melkor...He was, after all, one of the Ainur, so it is suiting that he is beautiful, I think. Yet he also looks malicious...

Awesome artwork! Why did you choose to depict an evil god in such a beautiful, nearly benevolent, way, when most people would depict Morgoth Bauglir as a black monstrosity?
